First Aid at Work Refresher
This is a two day course, suitable for anyone aged 16 years or more who wants to refresh and update the skills they previously learned on the first aid at work course, in order to renew their certificate and continue to act as a workplace first aider.
It gives learners the skills and confidence to respond to a range of accidents and first aid emergencies they could encounter in the workplace.
The refresher course needs to be completed before the first aider's First Aid at Work certificate expires. If more than one month has elapsed since the original FAW certificate has expired then the first aider needs to complete the full three day FAW course once again.
Qualification
The HSE requires at least twelve training contact hours for this course. Learners must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment, which is done by continuous observation and questioning during the course.
On successful completion of this course, you will receive a First Aid at Work certificate which is valid for three years.
The Health and Safety Executive recommends that each first aider should complete an annual first aid skills update.
Pre-requisites
Our courses offer a practical, hands-on approach that delivers the skills and confidence to use first aid skills in a real life situation.
Learners must be physically able to carry out the practical elements of the course.
